Rap has had many strange incarnations down the years: Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Vanilla Ice, Afroman...now hippy-hoppy rapper Sarah Akwisombe, aka GoldieLocks, is adding herself to the mix. The 23-year-old Croydonian releases single ‘Smash Grab’ on 3 December, and her debut album is due early next year.
Combining the sex appeal of Girls Aloud with the filthy tongue of Peaches, GoldieLocks is set to be 2009’s brightest star. With lyrics like, ‘Let’s go and find this stupid twat, who passed on my sister for a ginger slag,’ she’s certainly a feisty one. As we found out when we asked her some stuff about Lily Allen.
