Though she was born to a Vietnamese family in Singapore, Tila Nguyen spent much of her life in Houston, TX, the place to which her parents had immigrated when she was just one year old. With a childhood full of fights and rebellion (it was in high school that she allegedly got her nickname, Tila Tequila, after an adverse reaction to the alcohol) Tila eventually moved to Hollywood when she was 18 in order to pursue a career there. Selling her mixture of sex, candor, and seeming accessibility, Tila soon became the most popular figure on /MySpace, with, by early 2007, over 1.7 million friends. Her dedication to self-promotion, along with her good looks, paid off. In 2006 she was given a record deal on Will.i.am Music Group (run by the Black Eyed Peas frontman), an A&M imprint. Although she initially accepted the offer, she released her first single, the Lil Jon-produced "I Love U," as an independent /iTunes-only offer in late February 2007, claiming she had decided to reject the major-label path in order to stay true to herself and her music and to continue her D.I.Y. approach to fame. My sister asked me if I have heard of Tila Tequila. She says that Tila is ultra hot in the United States and that men are having fantasies of her! Tila Tequila was born in Singapore on 24th October, 1981. She is of Vietnamese descent and her given name is actually Thien Thanh Thi Nguyen, a typical Vietnamese name.

Soon after her birth, her family of “boat people” migrated to Houston, Texas, where she was raised. Tila adopted the name Tila Nguyen. As a teenager, Tila was a problematic child and got into so much trouble that she got kicked out of school. As she mentioned, she suffered from identity crisis, like it sometimes happen to non-American kids living in America.

Tila was spotted by a Playboy agent. While she declined the opportunity to by a Playboy bunny at first, she accepted it later and used that as a stepping stone to greater opportunities. Tila holds an illustrious portfolio now, including Queen of MySpce.com, though I could not understand why MySpace would want an ambassadress like Tila Tequila.

For the purpose of this post, I went through almost a thousand photos of Tila Tequila, and could only come up with these photos of her in something that at least resembles lingerie! Pathetic, isn’t it?

Since she was raised bilingual in English and Spanish, this his been an expedient in her making the transition from being a performer in Latin America in Spanish to becoming one in the United States in the English language. Personal life

Vergara was born in Barranquilla, Atlantico, Colombia. Her mother is a homemaker and her father produced cattle for the meat industry. "Toti" was the nickname given to Vergara by her five brothers and sisters and many cousins, including television news anchor and reporter Carlos Vergara, who works for WTVJ in Miami, Florida. She grew up in her hometown of Barranquilla and was raised in a well-off family, attending a private bilingual Spanish/English school. Vergara was married at the age of 18 to her childhood sweetheart, and she gave birth to her son Manolo in 1992 at the age of 20. After the break-up of her marriage, Vergara studied pre-dentistry at a university in Colombia for three years. Then, many opportunities arose to work in modeling and in show business, and Vergara decided to pursue these in Latin America. Soon she decided to move to Miami, Florida, to take advantage of opportunites and to move away from unrest in Colombia (her older brother had been murdered in 1998 during an attempt to kidnap him that went awry). She brought her son, mother, and sister with her.

Vergara's son Manolo lives in Westwood, Los Angeles, California, where he goes to high school.
